 Team India opener Mayank Agarwal has also scored a century by batting brilliantly in the second consecutive Test against South Africa. Mayank, who had started the innings with Rohit Sharma in the Pune Test, started playing by sensing the mood of the pitch. After Rohit's early dismissal, he tied the Indian innings with Pujara and added 138 runs. Mayank scored a double century in the Visakhapatnam Test.

Aggarwal scored the second century of his career in the Pune Test match. He completed his hundred by hitting a four off the 183rd ball of his innings. Earlier in the over, he had Keshav Maharaj hit two sixes off two consecutive balls and raised his score to 99. Mayank has equaled former Test opener Virender Sehwag after scoring two centuries in two consecutive Tests. Prior to Mayank, Virender Sehwag had scored centuries in two consecutive Test matches against South Africa in 2009-10.

Virender Sehwag has consistently scored three centuries in three Test matches. He scored 109 and 165 against South Africa. After this, Sehwag went to play a Test match against Sri Lanka and had a record in three consecutive Test Centuries in his name.

This is the fourth century scored by Indian openers (Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal) in the current Test series against South Africa. Prior to this, Indian openers have done the feat of scoring four centuries in a series three times.  

Looking at the overall scoreboard Rohit scored 14 runs, Pujara and Mayank both given the start which was required and Pujara ended up his innings 58 runs. Captain Virat Kohli is on 63 runs and Ajinkya Rahane on 18 runs. Total Indian Score is 273/3 with Mayank Agarwal's highest runscorer and Kasiago Rabada being the highest wicket-taker. Let's see if South Africa can dominate 2nd Day.
