 Indian captain Virat Kohli scored the highest score of his Test career (254 not out) against South Africa on Friday. With this, he also broke the record of Australia's great batsman Dan Bradman to score the highest 150 plus as a captain in international cricket.

Kohli as Indian captain has scored more than 150 runs nine times, one more than Bradman. He did this feat nine times in his career. Michael Clarke of Australia, Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka, Brian Lara of West Indies and Graeme Smith of South Africa are in joint third place having scored more than 150 as captain seven times.

Kohli also equaled former Australia captain Ricky Ponting's record for most centuries as a Test captain. Kohli and Ponting now have 19 centuries as Test captains. This is Kohli's 26th century in Test cricket while this is his first Test century this year.

Virat Kohli has remained the Test captain of Team India since Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from Test cricket. After the end of the second day's play, South Africa was able to score just 36 runs after losing three wickets. In this way, Team India is still 565 runs ahead of South Africa based on their first innings.
